Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Info, Editions, Pre-Order Bonuses, Story Trailer & Screenshots Galore
Capcom has announced lots of new information for their upcoming incarnation of the fighting series that dukes out heroes from both the Marvel and Capcom universes, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. They’ve announced that Hulk, Ultron, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, and Chris Redfield will be joining the initially introduced Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Captain America, Mega-Man X, Ryu and Morrigan. This will also be the first time an MvC title has a story mode in which Ultron and Sigma team-up to create a new being who wishes to destroy all organic life throughout both dimensions.
Players will be able to participate in free-form 2v2 team battles that are integrated into a wide variety of single player modes that adds diverse multiplayer content. The Infinity Stones also play a big role in all forms of game-play modes as fighters will be able to equip them in certain modes to change the way the match goes such as manipulating Space, Time or Power. Check out the trailer below along with some screenshots later on.
MvC: Infinite will be available in Standard Edition for $59.99 MSRP, which is only the base game; Deluxe Edition for $89.99 MSRP, which includes a 2017 Character Pass (possibly hinting at future season character releases that’s been done with Mortal Kombat X and Killer Instinct) that features six post-launch characters like Mega Man X main villain Sigma along with Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes; and finally a limited Collector’s Edition by TriForce for $199.99 MSRP that includes four premium character dioramas of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Mega Man X and Chun-Li along with a case filled with six Infinity Stone replicas that light up and Steelbook packaging of the Deluxe Edition. Pre-order bonuses will vary across North America, Europe and Australia but two additional costumes are being offered that include Gladiator Hulk and Mega Man Command Mission X.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in North America on September 19th, 2017.
