The long awaited update for Onigiri, Lunar Tale: Part II, has just been released on the Xbox One and introduces a plethora of additions and changes. The update introduces new partners, wardings, outfits,Youkai mechanics and a point daruma to the game. Additionally, there is also a Comback Presents to everyone who registered before the update as compensation for the long wait.
- New Story:
The quest to the moon is our heroes’ last hope for dispelling the Miasma of Oushuu and continuing the hunt for the Shogun and the mysterious group involved in his disappearance. In this new chapter, you will fight both familiar and new foes. But fear not, Oni! You are not alone.
- New Partners:
Sasuke Sarutobi – At the conclusion of the battle for Sekigahara, you will meet a new partner character, Sasuke Sarutobi as an NPC! Sasuke is a high-spirited ninja and proud member of the 10 Braves. She specializes in stealth and ninjutsu skills.
Even though it may look like she’s a fresh faced kid without a worry in the world, her ninja skills are first class and her loyalty to her master, Yukimura, is absolute. She also has the Vanguard Swap ability so you can play as her when your Vanguard Gauge is high enough! You can find Sarutobi Sasuke in Sekigahara and accept her quest for the chance to obtain and SP Gacha Ticket.Gacha Ticket: Available 9/6 – 10/4 (Sasuke’s quest will still be acceptable after this period, but the Gacha Ticket prize will change to Friendship Liebe instead)

Lunastasia – Lunastasia is a battle hardened warrior of the Blue Moon Clan who came to visit Onigashima from the Cosmic Crux. Some of you may recognize her from Cosmic League. Battle side-by-side with Lunastasia by talking to her in Onigashima and accepting her quest to search for the Mysterious Cosmo Pieces. Rumor has it they can grant their owners wishes! But why is Lunastasia looking for them…? Lunastasia first appears as a guest Vanguard character, but you can have her permanently by obtaining her scroll through the Nyankoropon!

- Point daruma:
In addition to the Lunar Tale: Part II story, this week we’re also proud to introduce the Point system! Speaking to the Point Daruma in Onigashima will give you access to his store, and his new trading system. Each week, you can exchange items for a total of 50,000 points and exchange the points for special items. It’s a great way to get rid of items you’ve accumulated in dungeons and get a little something back, and each week on Monday at 00:00, the cap will reset and you can exchange your items for more points. While speaking to the Daruma, you have the option to Purchase Points with your OC, convert items you’ve found for points in Point Exchange and finally get new items (while stock lasts) in the Gift Exchange.
- New Youkai Mechanics:
This update introduces new Youkai mechanics to the game that you can access by talking to the Douman in Onigashima. These mechanics are permanent to the game, and we have published guides on Youkai Summoning and Youkai Synthesis!
- Kijimuna Maiden:
Does this Maiden look familiar for to you? That is because she is modeled after the famous tree spirit mascot of Onigiri! Unlike the previous partners, the Kijimuna Maiden can be obtained through a Summoning Card by talking to the Point Daruma. There are three different cards to summon her:
– Token: Only summons normal Kijimuna Maiden
– Princess: Summons normal or rare Kijimuna Maiden
– Empress: Summons normal or rare Kijimuna Maiden
She is a permanent addition to the game and does not have an expiration date.
- New Wardings:
If you have advanced far enough in the game, you can talk to Chifuri in Onigashima to access these wardings:

Onigashima has been upgraded! Now it is bigger and better than ever before with a whole new plaza and space to chat with other players!
Additional features:
- The level cap has been increased to 120.
- Dungeon Rankings have been added. Now you can see the top times for each dungeon and try and shoot for the highest ranking yourself!
- There is a new party recruitment system under Community > Party recruit so you can see a list of available parties to join and what area of the game they are in!
- The login calendar has been updated.
