The team at Spike Chunsoft have revealed their latest planned release of Steins;Gate Elite at GDC 2018! This visual novel title is a remake of the 2009 version of the game but with something special not often seen in VNs: animated cutscenes! Reusing a lot of the anime version’s existing animation, the studio at White Fox have added additional animated cutscenes to this new release for other choices made by the player, as well, as they are trying to make it fully animated like the VN Yarudora. This version of it is also a way to bring it to the latest released console, Nintendo Switch as it doesn’t currently have any Steins;Gate games on it.
Steins;Gate Elite will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam sometime in 2018.
