A new open world third-person RPG has been announced which features a Dark Souls-esque atmosphere but with more cartoonish appeal called Ashen. This title will be developed by Aurora44 and published by Annapurna Interactive as part of the ID@Xbox program and features a deep multiplayer “trust” system.
The world is covered in ash from erupting volcanoes that provide the only source of natural light to see and many creatures litter the land; teamwork is essential if you want to survive in this harsh land. Players can make settlements and camps throughout the world and bring in other players they like to possibly join. Each character you bring in will have unique skills and crafting abilities that will help your camp’s survival chances.
Ashen will be released for the Xbox One and PC on April 30th, 2018.
