E3: Dragon Ball FighterZ Announced with Gameplay Trailer & Screenshots

Bandai Namco has recently announced that Arc System Works has been working on a 2.5D fighter title from the Dragon ball franchise. After the success of XenoVerse and XenoVerse 2, it’s worrisome to think that anything could follow up but it doesn’t seem like they will disappoint. They’ll be delivering a fast-paced fighting title reminiscent to their Guilty Gear series, Dragon Ball FighterZ.

This iteration of the classic anime will feature quick combo-ing, 3v3 battles, and a well-balanced roster of characters from the series including Teen Gohan, Cell, Frieza, Vegeta, Goku, and Majin Buu. The Golden Frieza form has been confirmed in the trailer so far so hopefully some footage of Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta will follow in future trailers!

Arc System Works brings a pedigree and record of quality that fighting game fans can trust; with awesome visuals players might mistake as actual 2D animation from the famed Dragon Ball series.

– Eric Hartness, Bandai Namco Entertainment America VP of Marketing

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in early 2018.
