Wales Interactive introduces their new horror title for VR systems called Don’t Knock Twice, a title that is being developed alongside the upcoming film of the same name featuring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and directed by Caradog James (The Machine). The game and film are based of an urban legend about knocking once to wake a witch from her bed, and twice to raise her from the dead. As the game incorporates elements of this into the plot, an estranged mother must save her daughter by exploring a grand manor house. The player will explore the building while interacting with objects to find clues, fight off terrors, and combine items to help navigate/traverse the environment.
Below we have a trailer featuring the playable demo for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift that’s been released on Steam — the PlayStation VR demo will be released later this year.
Don’t Knock Twice will be released for the Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and HTC Vive sometime in the first quarter of 2017, while the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions will be released at an unknown time afterwards.
