In lieu of the upcoming release of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, the immediate sequel – Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth – gets some spotlight with new screenshots and artwork depicting the main characters and game-play.
A visual novel/SRPG title, Mask of Truth includes 80+ hours of fascinating characters, creatures, locales and battles along with a story that ties off what started in Mask of Deception. As the game has turn-based battles, there are new features added since the last including Action Chains, a higher-level cap, character team-ups like Co-op Final and Co-op Chain attacks, Mock Battle mode to practice combat tactics and gain EXP/BP.
Pre-orders and limited launch editions will contain a collector’s slip case box and a double-sided pillowcase bonus item that features the mysterious Yamato priestesss Uruuru and Saraana that will be only available in the Americas. The PlayStation 4 version will be available for $49.99 and the Vita version will be $39.99 with European equivalent pricing.
Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita both physically and digitally on September 5th, 2017 in the Americas and Europe. The European Vita version will be available digitally only, however.
