Avid fans of the rebooted Lara Croft series of games will be pleased to see that Eidos-Montreal, Square Enix, and Crystal Dynamics have finally revealed tons of details on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the third installment for the new Lara. There’s not only a new trailer showing more about the story but also lots of new screenshots from gameplay and artwork showing more scenery from the Mayan jungle it’s set in. The world map is a hidden city that is the biggest hub space ever created for a Tomb Raider title and will hold many dark and brutal tombs for young Lara to explore.
Camilla Luddington will be reprising her role as Croft in which the character will need to venture through a deadly jungle in order to stop a world-ending apocalypse from occurring. As always, Lara is outgunned and outnumbered but will utilize guerrilla tactics against her enemies to cause fear and disarray among their ranks such as using mud as camouflage.
For the PC version of the game, however, the developers will be utilizing NVIDIA to improve the performance benefits of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs for PC gamers across the world. This continues the collaboration from the last title in the series, Rise of the Tomb Raider. Not only that but in order to make this version even better the development teams will be collaborating with the talented studio Nixxes Software (many past Tomb Raiders, Deus Ex titles, Hitman: Absolution, Thief, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days) who seeks to make their long-standing work on Tomb Raider titles continue to be presented beautifully for PC.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will challenge Lara Croft in new and unexpected ways. Our team has created a diverse set of skills, combat techniques and equipment for players to master, and they’ll certainly need them if they hope to survive the deadly jungle environments and tombs.
