Remastered and localized for Western audiences, Shining Resonance Refrain will be coming to North America and Europe and include an all-new Refrain Mode. While only being released back in 2014 as Shining Resonance for the PlayStation 3, it is now being updated and tweaked with better graphics, gameplay, and extra story elements. This version will not only include all of the original DLC but also a new experience in Refrain Mode that unlocks Princess Excella and Dragonslayer Jinas as party members. Those who pre-order the title will also have the option to order the Draconic Launch Edition which includes a collectible metal slipcase that features character artwork of Excella, Sonia, and Kirika and will be available for €49.99.

In case you don’t know the story, here’s a brief summary:

Yuma has the soul of the Shining Dragon within him, transforming into the ancient beast by unleashing the power conducted through his sword. Dragons, long thought to be extinct, make Yuma a target for the Empire. To use him against the kingdom of Astoria, The Empire captures Yuma. Sonia, princess of Astoria, launches a rescue mission with the help of the Dragoneers. Hearing about the plight of Astoria and their fight to save their land, Yuma decides to aid them. Typically timid, will he find the courage to realize the strength he has within him?

Shining Resonance Refrain will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on March 29th, 2018 for Japan and sometime during the Summer for North America and Europe.
