The next entry in the SoulCalibur series has been announced and it’ll include returning characters and new ones. There’s a new gameplay mechanic called Reversal Edge to couple with the traditional 8-Way Run movement system that allows players to follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on the opponents’ actions. The story will take place in the 16th century and not only revisit events from the original SoulCalibur but also go into greater detail about the new and returning characters such as Mitsurugi and Sophitia.
The fast and kinetic gameplay of SOULCALIBUR is on full display in SOULCALIBUR VI. A stellar lineup of characters and weapons, combined with a simple control layout means gamers of all skill levels can jump into the action and decimate the competition.

Soul Calibur VI will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam sometime in 2018.
