343 Industries releases some great news that involves free content for Halo 5: Guardians titled “Ghosts of Meridian”. In this DLC, players will get: two new maps, a Warzone map called Skirmish at Darkstar and an Arena map called Tyrant; new weapons including a variant of gravity hammer called Tartarus’ Gavel, a variant of the Suppressor, and a skin for the Assault Rifle (among many others); and finally the Hannibal Mantis, a monster version of the typical Mantis but with a few extras. 343 will be showcasing this new content pack on Tuesday, April 5th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST on their Twitch channel and the Halo Channel.
- New Arena map – Tyrant. The facility known as Site C by human explorers is one of a handful of intact Forerunner structures remaining in the Zeta Hydronis Secundus system, a grim reminder that even godlike artifice can be undone by the minds and hands of mad tyrants. The small-scale symmetrical map is built for Capture the Flag and Assault game modes.
- New Warzone map – Skirmish at Darkstar. Though Liang-Dortmund’s local headquarters at Meridian Station was devastated, the remote polar outpost of Darkstar Station survived. But anomalies abound beneath the battered surface as ancient machinery buried deep in the planet’s mantle stir to life, including an all-new boss.
Halo 5: Guardians‘ “Ghosts of Meridian” will be released on April 4th, 2016.
